Our immediate needs for Construction Supplies

March 2, 2011

As you can see from “Our Progress” tab of our Construction progress – we are really moving along.

Coming up shortly we will be starting work on Electrical and Plumbing work.

We are looking for businesses and individuals to help us here in making donations of electrical and plumbing supplies.

How can you help?
If you have contacts with any of the local electrical or plumbing suppliers in the area – please help us contact these people and ask for donations.

For every construction item that we get donated for our build – means that is one less dollar we have raise during our Fund raising efforts.

Please contact myself – Howard Drobner -

Worcester Habitat “ReStore” open

January 28, 2011

Donate to the ReStore:  Do you have the right stuff? We think you do!

Your unneeded home furnishings, home improvement materials and residential construction items can build affordable housing in our local community. Habitat for Humanity-MetroWest/Greater Worcester is collecting unneeded household items for sale at our ReStore.

Clean out your attic or garage and make a positive difference today.

What is the ReStore? An environmentally and socially responsible way to keep good, reusable materials out of the waste stream while providing funding for your local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. Habitat sells new and used construction materials and remodeling products to the public for 50% or less of value. The ReStore provides low-cost rehab and renovation materials to community residents while providing operating support to sustain HFH-MW/GW homebuilding goals. This initiative will support community recycling goals by providing a second life for recycled and overstocked building materials that are still useable. For more information, click www.habitatmwgw.org.
